Department of Asian History covers wide range of historical researches in Asian regions. The ground is vast and the languages are diversified. Our researches use materials written in classical Chinese, Persian, Turkic languages, Arabic and others. Each of the researchers of the Department is engaged in his/her own specialty areas and languages of the sources, and at the same time, in comparison with study areas of others, relativizes his/her subjects of researches. Listening to the people’s voices of the past, who lived in various natural environments and cultures is what we do.
